This record left our Brian feeling ecstatic.
Now as you all know by now I get a bit mardy when all i'm subjected to is retro horseshat of the most derivative kind but when a band come along like The Kills and gradually wear me down into submission then...I GOTTA SAY IT'S GOOD! 'Keep on Your Mean Side' is the debut L.P. from these folks (Jamie from Scarfo & an intense looking lady called V) and has that sound I really expected from the White Stripes. PJ Harvey when she still rocked springs to mind. Scuzzy, stripped down Rock that drips real attitood and makes you want to go out & set fire to bus shelters.So there you go. A free badge for CD buyers & a poster for the vinyl folks! On Domino!
