First up today we have the new full length from Badly Drawn Boys mate and label cohort Andy Votel on the Twisted Nerve imprint. (My! they've been busy recently....) Called 'All Ten Fingers', it veers from loungy funky soul stricken stuff to more percussive beat laden workouts.In fact it's all pretty groovy maaan! A bit of a hazy sixties vibe is prevelent in places, recalling Noonday Underground and the more chilled side of DJ Shadow. Guest vocalists are on call too including the likes of Elbow and Malcolm Mooney (Can's original vocalist! What a scoop!!!!) Sounds really nicely put together especially for the 4am post club massive without being remotely 'chill out'. Crackin'!Be the first to review this record.
