First up is the Heidi 7" comprising of two fine Italian bands namely Yuppie Flu and Giardini Di Miro. Yuppie Flu release probably one of the most tuneful and poppy things I've released so far on the label. To me it sounds like a more relaxed (and recent) Notwist. Gorgeous strings in and a melody so good that they must have made friends with the devil to get it. For this we must thank beelzebub. Class...... It doesn't get much better. However there's the flipside as well which is a killer. Giardini Di Miro with Kaye Brewster on vocals making a tune that sounds like more recent mellowed out Mogwai but with Sundays-esque vocals. Absoluely gorgeous to die for music. It's got quite an Icelandic feel with elements of Mum in it (mainly the vocals). It's very polished again and also has the lovely string thing going on. This is great. I would say that I know but I genuinely think this is one of the best records I've heard in some time.. These are exciting times we live in....Be the first to review this record.
