 This record left our Phil feeling ecstatic.
DJ Shadow. A god to some perhaps. Always been a personal hero
of mine and when I saw him live the other week he rocked my world in a
slight hip hop bouncy fashion . Now his new album didn't impress me when
I first heard it months ago. But after months and months of perseverance
as I couldn't believe the man would make a bad record I've come to the
conclusion that it's actually very very good indeed. If you're after entroducing
part 2 then you'll be disappointed......stop reading now. If you're after
a a more varied fresh largely instrumental cinematic hip hop album with
tunes and a David Holmes groovy feel about it then you'll be well chuffed.
The Private Press is total class....
