I quite enjoyed The Heads new LP. Big proper Stooges like rock. Quality tunes. All sounds very American to me...... If you used to like B.A.L.L on Shimmy Disc or Thee Hypnotics (both fairly uncool to like but there's a lot of musical similarities there) then check this out as Under Sided is acidrocktasticEmbracing Krautrock, Psychedelia, Garage punk and intense white noise alongside their distinctive sound. This is dark, scary and powerful guitar led rock with absolutely no care for trends, genres, or anything as limiting as that. Stooges-like raw guitar shreds through motorik rhythms and deadpan vocals. The range of instrumentation will shock even the most hardened heads fans. There is acaustic guitar, harmonica, and even more controlled feedback. As ever the album is linked throughout with bizarre sound bites and deranged samples creating a full on psychedelic nightmare.
