Probably the most anticipated release here for us this month and maybe this year is the Boards Of Canada LP. I will admit to being excited at the start of the week this week as I knew it was coming in. Rather sad like, we ripped the boxes open and banged it on..... I was gonna do a big opening spiel for this and couldn't be arsed as my hangover is still a bit rough. This is 2 things, it's a great Boards Of Canda LP and it's a great LP. If you were obsessed with the last LP this will continue the obsession. It's nothing particularly new. The sounds are un doubtedly Boards Of Canada, the beats are them, those melodies....... More of the same but perhaps updated by advances in music which just makes it sound fresher. I am excited... am fairly sure this will be in most people's top 10's at the end of the year. Quality electronic music. Clinton thinks he thinks it's better than the last LP. Brian says it's bloomin wonderful. The word fantasimo was made up by me for this record.
