The Beta Band are back after a 9 year break. After their top 10 smash covering Baltimora they release possibly the best track from the forthcoming LP (aside from Squares which was tops... damned you I Monster..). It's recognisably the Beta Band and it's a catchy tune. if this was anyone else you'd think this was fantastic. And it is good but it's not as good as any of the tracks on the 3 EP's. You kind of expect better from them. The B sides are excellent though. Quite hip hoppy and rappy. Am torn what to give this. If this was anyone else it would get 5/5 but as it's the Beta Band and they could do better so that's a 4/5.... Broke is on CD and vinyl formats....

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
