It's a while since we've had anything from these guys. I didn't even know they were still going! This is a re-recording of their 1st album from 12 years ago featuring folks from Olivia Tremor Control, Of Montreal, The Musictapes and more. I used to love this stuff and it's come back in at a time when I've been digging through my old Olivia Tremor Control albums. Times have been good at chez Phil... I'm enjoying the fuzzy electro pop songs with a hint of cheese about 'em. It's quite similar to the recent of Montreal stuff (though less crazy). It definitely has a similar vibe to it though. It's uber pop though and if you're into weird indie pop music then you may well like this. I can see folks how like Ariel Pink liking bits of this 'n all. Good stuff and I'm enjoying the funk.
