Ian Vine is known to concert hall audiences in the UK and the rest of Europe, as a composer of orchestral and chamber music, with a string of critically acclaimed commissions and performances by leading orchestras and ensembles. [London Symphony Orchestra; London Sinfonietta; BBC Symphony; Hallé; ensemble recherche].

Several works have been released on CD: ocre oscuro (2007) [Jerwood Series 5, on the London Sinfonietta label]; shadow grounds (1999) [In Nomine, on Austrian new music label, KAIROS]; and writing on water (2000) [You Are Here – A Visitor’s Guide to Accidental, on Matthew Herbert’s Accidental Records].
