I like these guys. I think they’re nice. They’re doing nowt new but they do the whole poppy shoegaze/ MBV thing with such panache that you can’t but help dig them (if you like shoegaze that is!). We battle to keep their records on our shelves so I’m guessing a lot of you think the same!
‘Rip’ is a 3 minute pop song with breathy ethereal vocals and fuzzy guitars. It reminds me a lot of the Charlottes if anyone remembers them (an old Cherry Red band who made a great album many many moons ago). The song is over before you know it! Flip it over to ‘Scene’ which is a much more frenetically paced tune with distorted guitars and a pulsing bass... a bit Sonic Youth-y in places. It’s a tasty little blue vinyl 7” which will prob sell out soon.
