Software venture deep into experimental purism with the co-release of the fourth rekkid from ambient noise makers and all round good lads Tropo Macaca.
‘Ectoplasm’’s opening fifteen minute opus flirts with post-techno concepts and presents an ever evolving looped based experimental wig-out in the vein of early Growing if they were way deeper and spiritual n’ shit. It’s certainly not an easy one to sit back an enjoy with it’s claustrophobic industrial tones and unforgiving vocal chants but it’s kinda rewarding if you put the time in.
Flip that bad boi and it’s clobbering time! Not really...I’ll start that again.
Flip that bad boi and these Portuguese residents present something a little more understated. From what I can make out it’s an odd modular synth freakout that again takes an ultra experimental, semi-industrial vibe and couples it with a steady rhythm of some kind...and that’s how I invented post-techno innit.
