It took me about six hours to find out who this is by as they’ve forgotten to put their name on the sleeve. Thankfully they’ve paid more attention to the music which has slightly more going on than a lot of the drone explorations I’ve had to listen to today though occasionally falls into that trap of nothing actually happening.
The opening track has a dark, almost trip-hop like feel to it and further on there is a really evocative track full of distorted church bells which becomes somewhat disorientating after a while - it’s the sound of Chalfont St Giles through a distortion pedal. It drives you completely crazy. Luckily it is followed by the sound of a drunk church organist playing something a little more avant garde after the flock have long departed. It’s a varied album full of found sounds and field recordings, occasionally disorientating sometimes quite soothing.
