Fledgling London label Critical Heights announce the signing of goofball girl genius KEEL HER. Rose Keeler-Schäffeler has spent the last year uploading a new track to Soundcloud every day, receiving praise from MTV, Fake Diy, The Fly and soulmate R.Stevie Moore along the way. Rose has recently taken her bedroom pop on the road with the aid of guitarist James Levitt and drummer Andrew Barnes. Keel Her will release their full-length debut later in the year and debut 7", "Prize Catch", is due out on August 13th via Critical Heights. With Keel Her’s pop gems never going over the two-minute mark, the “Prize Catch” 7” features four beautifully fuzzy, messed-up pop songs. With fairly indistinguishable lyrics throughout but picking up bits like “I just want to be like R Stevie Moore” in “Robert” or “I wish you’d take me out” in “Pop Hurl”, there’s a lot of soul searching and longing drenched in those swathes of distortion and crumbling lo-fi.
