If you’ve not been squished to death by the huge drone mountain that has been growing over the last few years and you’re wanting more to soothe your battered mind then look no further as here’s a new CD by Bengalfuel who’ve been knocking ‘em out now for a while on labels such as Hibernate, Rural Colours and of course Lizard Breakfast.
On this 11 track album (numbered of 100 copies) are some calming and serene drone moments (droments) peppered with some dark style ambience here and there. It’s dark and brooding at times and on other occasions it’s totally warm and fluffy sounding. The album veers from ambient styles to drone styles and though you might think the two are similar they are indeed worlds apart (I think!). There’s some occasions when it sounds like it might go a bit Deepchord but without the dubby bass. It’s lush layered deep sounding ambience and if you’re hankering for some drifty soundscapes then ask nicely and ye shall have.
