The See See are a ‘60s psych-rock aping London group fronted by ex-Eighteenth Day Of May Richard Olsen. These lads are ridiculously popular with our customers so my opinion is pretty much redundant when it comes to evaluating the group’s creative output, so I’ll keep this real simple.
‘Sweet Hand’ is the second single from the group’s ‘Fountayne Mountain’ LP. It’s a straight forward folky ballad with little in the way of band accompaniment. They compensate for the low-key A-side with a bold cover of Gene Clarke’s ‘Silver Raven’ which they approach faithfully adding oodles of swirling drones to the equation. Guaranteed to please.
