Oh man, this is totally sweet. Colombian supergroup Ondatropica contain a whole rash of awesome musicians from past and present busting out some party cumbias like there’s no tomorrow. On the A we’ve got ‘Punkero Sonidero’, a lively and brash number with loads of melody and proper party vibes. Sweet track.
This single’s real selling point comes on the flip, where the team drunkenly bash their way through a Colombian take on the timeless Sabbath rocker ‘Iron Man’ (audaciously retitled ‘I Ron Man’) with a sick sax solo in the middle and everything. A super-fun cut that oozes sunshiney cheekiness and would fit snugly into any party DJ’s collection. Head and shoulders above those Little Roy dub reggae Nirvana covers we had in last year.
