Got a brand new EP here from Kim Salmon’s The Scientists, all the way fro the Au S of Tralia. Well I say brand new but they did a red vinyl edition of 500 for Record Store Day and now they’re following that up with a regular black vinyl edition for those of you who didn’t fancy the queues.
It’s snotty, slightly glam, melodic punk rock/power-pop, like a really obnoxious version of the Only Ones or something. It also reminds me of Crocodiles, The Reatards, shit like that. Really catchy tunes, nicely scuzzy tones. Charming ‘60s-influenced fun.
