Freddy Mack - The Fantastic Freddy Mack Show (Vinyl LP)

Acid Jazz's RARE MOD series is a collection of vinyl EPs, compilation albums, books and box sets that shines a light on the forgotten side of the British mod scene. Un-heard masters, never viewed photos, dusty acetates and incisive prose; this series is a veritable treasure trove for collectors of all things mod. The success of the RARE MOD series has surpassed all expectations with more and more gems being unearthed.

As part of the more recent live album aspect of the Rare Mod series, Acid Jazz are proud to re-issue the impossibly rare FANTASTIC FREDDY MACK SHOW.

The second live album in the series following Kenny Bernard & The Wranglers' Live 65', Freddy Mack and his band are recorded here at the top of their game. Freddy Mack, an ex boxing pro born in South Carolina, and his Soul Revue band toured relentlessly up and down the UK and were regarded as serious contenders to Geno Washington's crown. In late 1966 the band recorded the LP we present here, only a small quantity were pressed and it was only sold at shows. These days original copies are very hard to find, costing upwards of £300, and so, for the first time since 1966, Ladies and Gentlemen, we are proud to present to you, The Fantastic Freddie Mac Show!!
