200 copies only. 'Red Box Secrets' will be Pale Man Made first release for Odd Box. Hailing from Newcastle-upon-tyne. The band take touches of the best 80s and 90s music, adding a caustic commentary on working life, relationship problems, animals, politics and snooker players and engulf the whole thing in a melodic whirlwind of boy-girl fuzz. Think the best Scottish pop (The Pastels, The Shop Assistants, Orange Juice) blended with the angst and ferocity of The Wedding Present, all clouded by a gentler take on the heady fuzz of My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus and Mary Chain. The album will be proceeded on 16th April by a free download single 'In Your Bed'. The first taster ‘B-Line’, received excellent airplay including numerous plays from 6 music and BBC London. ‘Oh, My Treasured Things’ Pale Man Made’s debut album was described by NME as 'a thing to treasure', was voted Album of the Week by Huw Stephens and received excellent reviews and international airplay. Pale Man Made are currently putting the finishing touches to UK and European tour dates to promote the new album, produced by Steve Whitfield (The Cure, The Pale Saints, Pylons, Trash Can Sinatras), of which more details will follow soon. The band will appear at The Odd Box Weekender on Saturday 5 May which will also be a pre launch party for the album with exclusive copies available.
