Now I thought these guys were called Canopy just cos who calls a band Silent Whale Becomes A Dream? That's mental. Well apparently not as these guys are called Silent Whale Becomes A Dream. Hey you live and learn... This is apparently a reissue of their 1st release though I can find cack all about 'em on the internet. So I'm just gonna have to bloody listen to the thing! This is epic post rock. It's as epic as post rock can get.... 4 tracks of neo classical infused post rock by numbers for fans of Explosions In The sky, Godspeed and the ilk. Seriously it's as epic as those explosions guys.... It's massive, rousing and pompous You know those really emotional scenes in films where the plot has built up for a while and there's a scene where something big happens near the end.... this is the music to it. Nice classical(y) bits in it though! And if you're after epic heart tuggy post rock then this may become your new friend.
