Here we have Keith Wood on the first side with five tracks of his blend of folk and psychedelic rock. Acoustic guitar is twinned with slightly fuzzed electric guitar and steady drums that are the backbone to his ghostly tales, occasional rock outs and smatterings of melancholy. All songs as we've come to expect (through releases on Ecstatic Peace, Digitalis, Blackest Rainbow etc.) are well crafted. Arboretum offer up three cuts on the underside. Making the transition from the Hush Arbors tracks to these tunes feels almost seamless, and it's clear to hear that the pairing have an affinity. Again here folk and rock collide with psychedelia. If it wasn't for the overall sound and production I swear I could be listening to some old proggy folk record, with elements of everything from Jethro Tull, Fairport Convention and even erm... Lungfish! When Dave Heumann lets rip on guitar the colours start to fly. Comes with download code.
