Madlib - Medicine Show # 13 : Black Tape

When Madlib launched his Medicine Show series, the original idea was simple: 12 releases, one per month, alternating between original works and mixtapes spanning di erent genres. It took a little longer than planned to get to Episode 12, which put the idea in his head to create a bonus Medicine Show # 13. And here it is, the long -rumoured, highly-anticipated final instalment. ‘Black Tape’ (which is of course actually a CD) is a 60 minute hip hop mix of some of rap’s best, half-best, brilliant and borderline-retarded MCs, all colliding head-on with a collection of unique Madlib beats … with no tracklisting.
