School Of Seven Bells - Lafaye

Lafaye by School Of Seven Bells

School Of Seven Bells never fail to disappoint me. 'Lafaye III' is an ambitious synthpop single that to me sounds like Linkin Park with with female vocals instead of that Chester Copperpot fellow. It's a radio ready treat for the kids innit. B-side 'Love From A Stone' fares alot better, sounding not unlike a real composition as opposed to music designed specifically to advertise episodes of the new Teenwolf series on MTV....and generally piss me off. Minimalist percussion, soft pads and powerful vocal harmonies make for a single saving B-side.

•    First single to be taken from the New York act’s highly anticipated third long player ‘Ghostory’.

•    ‘Lafaye’ is the name of a young girl around which the album is based, and the ghosts that surround her life.

•    Here the band’s trademark blend of 80s synth-pop and shoegaze riffs are in full force, alongside heavenly vocal harmonies.

•    Available on limited edition heavyweight 7” white vinyl (500 copies) and digital download, and includes exclusive B-side ‘Love From A Stone’.
