That's Make Mine Records and not the late Make Mine Music should you be confused. How on earth are we supposed to keep up? One listen to the music should tell you it's not a Make Mine Music release, though - this is a soulful blast of energetic skittering electronica with a housey vibe and a cut up sampled (I think) nagging vocal riff. On the flip you get more house sounds, stabbing pianos and bouncing beats - it's a whole heap of fun and could even get a sedentary old fool like myself on the dancefloor. They are about 12 years old too - how on earth do they do it?
Disclosure announce their new double A-side single 'Tenderly' / 'Flow' released on Feb 13th on Make Mine (7" + Digital). Winning fans amongst Pitchfork, NME, XLR8R, The Guardian, Loud and Quiet, Altered Zones and RCRD LBL, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence made their debut in 2010 with the 'Offline Dexterity' release on the Moshi Moshi singles club. Since then the brothers, aged 17 and 20, have released 'Carnival' and 'I Love That You Know' on the continually progressive Transparent Records. As well as giving away an EP for free - which received 20k + downloads in 100 + countries. This combined with strong radio support from Annie Mac, Grimmy, Huw Stephens, Mistajam, Kissy Sell Out, 6 Music and XFM - took Disclosure one step further. They have recently been announced as main support on SBTRKT's headline UK tour 2012. 2011 was a fantastic year for Disclosure, 2012 looks like the year they'll be cemented as one of the most exciting prospects in electronic music.
