T.I.T.S - The Girls (Vinyl LP)

San Francisco post-punkers T.I.T.S. are back with their third album of dark, rocking psychedelic incantations, this time with the one and only Phil Manley twiddling the knobs. You know it's gonna be good, don't you. There's a touch of riot grrrl in the delivery but these lasses have run with it and I can't pinpoint a single band they sound like they're copying. Kind of like the bastard offspring of Le Tigre, Erase Errata, The Fall and Delta 5, maybe, but with an openness to noise and experimentation running through everything to make these churning, stumbling, awkward grooves, and no fear of repeating things to hypnotic levels when appropriate, sometimes accompanied by witchy chants and stuff. Totally cool. The vinyl looks sweet, too - bright pink in the middle fading to beige on the outside. This whole package is the tits, basically.
