Little My - Little My's Fifth

Little My's Fifth by Little My

Oh god tweeness overload! This is a series of mega cute 3” cd's from a band who have already covered the likes of Vaselines, Grandaddy, Shins, Shakin' Stevens and Napalm Death. The opener has a nice 60's girl group feel referencing the likes of Adventures in Stereo and Belle and Sebastien along the way. Cosy, cuddly, harmless fun. Things get a little more eerie with a duvet en-snuggled cover of the Postal Service's 'We Will Become Silhouettes' performed in the style of 'Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head'. Still, its all very nice. What really concerns me is the horrid version of the low point of Paul Simon's entire career ' 59th Street Bridge Song' a song which should have been strangled at birth and never allowed to be covered by anyone ever. The fourth track shows their 'tough' side coming across a little more kraut rocky than the other more indie pop fare. Nicely packaged and limited to 160.
