Gonjasufi - the name you know. After wowing the world with his Warp debut 'A Sufi And A Killer' in 2010 Sumach Valentine returns with what I would consider to be a full album,  though it's been touted as a mini LP. So, we've got ten new tracks from the mind of  Valentine to mull on and what a fantastic collection of obscure-o gems it is indeed. Valentine's vocals are as intriguing as ever and it's cute to hear he's his better half singing on 'Feedin' Birds', the stand out jam of the album for me. Instrumentally these new numbers are verging on pure sample abuse with melodies and beats being stretched to breaking point. The beats on 'Venom' for example are time stretched so severely you can imagine them falling apart completely. The resulting sound is not so much mellow, but the equivalent of wearing lead shoes to dance in. Real Valium sluggishness and super furry. I fucking love it.

•    One of music’s most intriguing characters returns with a new ten track mini-album.

• Gonjasufi, aka desert-dwelling yoga instructor Sumach Valentine, stunned music-lovers with his debut ‘A Sufi And A Killer’ and its unique melding of aging Eastern European influences with crisp hip hop production, and of course his unmistakable vocals, sweeping from loving croon to abrasive directness.

• ‘MU. ZZ. LE’ continues to astound in the same ways, whilst introducing a more personal touch (Sumach took on the majority of the production duties alone and the track ‘Feedin’ Birds’ is a duet with his wife).

•    Available as a CD and special limited double 10” (400 copies in the UK), this mini-album is a view- challenging, powerful sonic ride from the man behind a debut Guardian Guide called “a contender for album of the year”.

• In the few years since his debut, Gonjasufi has accumulated countless fans at media.
