Well you learn something every day. Last week it was that you don't have to put 'www' before web addresses anymore (nobody told me), this week it's that Autechre released an album under the name Lego Feet in 1991 and that copies are going for £300 on Discogs. Well, Skam have spotted an opportunity to make a quick dollar whilst saving people the princely sum of £289 by re-issuing the album on modern day compact disc. It's standard Autechre fare. Sounds a lot like their other records from this period. Do I need to describe it? Skittering beats all over the place which slowly give way to pleasant burbling melodies that rise up out of the chaos. The opening track especially would have fit very nicely into those Autechre records we so knew and loved back in the day, like the one in the black cover, or the one before that. It's very of its time with lots of acidy squiggles and cut up hip hop things. But as a curio, a historical object and to complete your collection you are going to need to get hold of this before it sells out and goes on Discogs for millions of pounds.
