It's really fascinating how people change. The first time I saw Lieven Martens in person, he was naked manipulating tapes and shooting glitter into a Dutch audience during a Dirk Free Noise performance at Das Hondenkoekjesfabriek. Fast forward seven years and we have a man who has helped evolve and mature that hypnotic sound into new territories.

Two Romantic Landscapes uses signature DITF techniques such as realtime processing of water sounds, explorations in cetacean communications via effectively timed delivery of aquatic sounds, and some really laid back keyboard solo's. Tape reccomended for repeat listening in one sitting.
