Call us hopeless old buffoons if you will but we often have the age-old problem of not knowing what speed to play a record at. Many times records sound equally good at both speeds such as last weeks James Blackshaw record which was perhaps even better at the wrong speed. Until record labels start deciding to put RPMs on the labels we'll just have to keep on guessing. This record is a rarity as it actually sounds equally shit at both speeds, though in radically different ways. At 33rpm it's a sluggish messy dirge, grinding along with the pace of your very old Clint dragging himself kicking and screaming to work of a morning. At 45rpm it bounds along but is marred by annoying helium vocals. It actually sounds best at 33rpm pitch-shifted up a bit which is another option I suppose. The music is an absurdly lo-fi garage scree. Side B though is a veritable pop fest in comparison - its a Groundhogs cover , nicely done with impressive falsetto vocals.
