This is a cool little comp featuring a diverse selection of remixes and collaborators, basically a face-off between the self-proclaimed Godmother of Japanese electronica & UK “netlabel” Bit-Phalanx. I'm not gonna start deconstructing the content but I will say this is for an incredibly worthy cause, all profits going towards the Japanese earthquake and tsunami appeal. Basically what you get here is some of the finest crisp, playful electronic pop; moody trip-hop; glitchy, druggy stumble-funk; smoky atmospheric breaks & contemporary cross-pollinated IDM shades. It's a right fresh, fun listen that truly commands your time.
Coppe' ("The legendary godmother of Japanese Electronica") hooks up with the artists and associates of UK's freshest electronic music label, Bit-Phalanx, and uses the highly infectious track 'Yogurt' (From Coppe's 2010 'Artificial Insemination' album) as the key ingredient for an entire album of lush, fun, mental and smile-inducing mixes and interpretations. Featuring very special guest mixers; Minotaur Shock (4AD), Kettel (Planet-Mu / Neo Ouija), Mrs Jynx (Planet-Mu), Terminal 11 (Cockrockdisco), Libythth (Phthalo) and Kelli Ali (ex-Sneaker Pimps / One Little Indian).
