This is sweet! Terror Train is exactly one half of electronic duo Freescha (Nick Huntington to be even more precise) and here's his debut release! The album is inspired by Nick's love for disco balls, sci-fi music and horror films. There's a huge synthy disco vibe throughout the album... bits of italo/Marauder chucked in as well. It's very cosmic sounding, lots of thudding dirty beats, wonky 70's style electronic melodies all going high and low in the mix. Some of the tracks do the mellow spacey cosmic thing and others go down the more upbeat funtime route. Both routes are excellent to traverse and which ever way you go there's lots of joy to be had on this record. It's making me feel happy listening to this which has to be a good thing as almost nothing makes me happy unless I can eat it. My top pick is Dark Dancer which is an ace tune. Makes me want to get down und boogie yah.
