Captured Tracks have a few offerings in for the kids this week. First up are Minks with 'Araby', a song originally released on tape that has been fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to wax. 'Araby' is a breezy take on The Cure's early indie pop genius. Subtle and very slightly wet in the perfect way. Flip it and it's pure Beach Boys melodies all the way. There's almost no instrumental arrangement here just a drifting organ loop accompanied by cyclical and sun-tanned vocal harmonies. Ace.
"Previously released on cassette tape, the Minks' single "Araby" is seeing it's proper release on vinyl 7" along with the glistening B-side "Little Fawn."
