After propping up those two (no, really) mindless clowns the Insane Clown Posse on that fucking unfunny & pointless abortion of a single that Our busy BL has subjected us to four times in a row, I wasn't sure if the JTBH 7" was gonna be another infuriating novelty cunt of a joint as well?? Well no, it's not, but it ain't a hit for the jukebox either. It's a slow stoner/space-rock thing, mostly instrumental with some brief Ozzy/Hawkwind style vocals that actually go with the song but also has Uncle Jack Shite IIV on hammond organ keyboard-wanking horribly all over the shop at one unsavoury point. It still sounds pretty good though. The other side is much better, bristling with their usual stoner-grunge pop/pup stance which may well appeal to fans of Nebula, Fu Manchu & Dinosaur Jr. I give Four for the Mascis-style solo and the poppy Treepeople vibe, take off one point for letting that rich berk in the room with his spurting organ overflowingeth from the first side.....remember what The Fall said to Jools Holland boys?
Produced by Jack White, the a-side is a droning 6 and 1/2 minute jam called "Whatever I Want" and the b-side is a killer version of the Tiger B. Smith rocker "Everything I Need." Both tunes are incredible and we are overly-excited to be working with the fellas who are one of the best bands out there working today.
