Hey, that's clever. A band name that can only be typed on Macs. Steve Jobs would be proud. Well, these guys are from Leeds but I personally have never encountered them before. They make the sort of indie rock that will appeal to fans of Keane and/or The National. It's competent but I'm struggling to find anything about it that holds my attention. The flip is slightly more up my street, with a slight melancholic wonkiness that brings to mind dEUS, but it's not setting my world on fire.
Description: The debut AA release by Leeds-based band ∆ [pronounced Alt-J].
Formerly called Films, ∆ are a band with a name that can only be written on a Mac computer, by holding down the Alt. key and hitting J. Blending the kind vocals reminiscent of Wild Beast and Antony Hegarty with drum rhythms of recent Radiohead, Bloodflood and Tessellate are as good as each other, which is why the band's debut 7" is a AA side.

This is their debut and I like it a lot, but have you heard Matilda that was featured on Radio 2's Round Table? Its great.
