For Wilco, the release on September 26th of ‘The Whole Love’ represents more than just the eighth studio album from this innovative Chicago band. It signifies yet another new chapter in the band’s constantly evolving, enduring and storied career. Just as their departure from Warner Bros for the release of ‘Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’ created a thrilling story, now ‘The Whole Love’, on their newly launched dBpm Records, sets one of contemporary music's most creative and independent-minded bands on a wide open road.

Recorded in their northside Chicago loft, the 12 new songs on The Whole Love capture the balance between the band’s art sensibilities, their fondness traditional American music and their love of classic guitar-driven pop rock. The Whole Love is a veritable sonic stew, showcasing Wilco’s far-reaching musical prowess (multiple guitars, keyboards, synthesizers and percussion plus Mellotron, strings, loops and more) perfectly accompanying Jeff Tweedy’s provocative and insightful lyrics.

Coinciding with the album’s release will be the first leg of Wilco’s North American tour, including a show in New York City’s Central Park, followed by a European tour through the UK, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.

Wilco’s self-titled album (2009) was nominated for a Grammy, and has sold over 330,000 copies to date worldwide.
Wilco won two Grammy Awards for their fifth studio album, 2004's ‘A Ghost Is Born’, including Best Alternative Music Album.
‘The Whole Love’ is produced by the band and engineered by Tom Schick (Ryan Adams, Rufus Wainwright).
First single ‘I Might’ is getting the best radio reception in Wilco’s career, and is already bound for the top of the AAA chart.
Press reception for the new record is already on fire.
The Wilco catalogue has sold over 3.3 million records to date worldwide.
