Broken Vinyl Club - The Broken Vinyl Club

The Broken Vinyl Club by Broken Vinyl Club

"The Broken Vinyl Club are amazing live. Somebody should sign them; they would be huge" - Alan McGee (Creation Records boss)
There are not many people who'd turn down a ride in a musical time machine. Imagine being able to travel back into the past and watch all your favourite bands. The Broken Vinyl Club have invented that time machine, and through their tightly crafted beat-lead rhythms have driven it straight back to the sixties heyday. The Broken Vinyl Club, four young lads from Cardiff and The Valleys, have brought back not only The Beatles' harmonies, The Stones' swagger, The Pretty Things' attitude and The Monkees' personality, but they have even had time to raid a couple of Carnaby Street clothes shops and nick Keith Moon's drum kit on the way! They may only have a handful of gigs under their belt, but watching The Broken Vinyl Club live is like stumbling upon The Quarrymen at a garden fete and knowing something big could be around the corner. Liam Gallagher personally asked the lads to perform at his Pretty Green clothing launch in London as well as at the Cardiff launch a couple of weeks ago with Alan McGee becoming a regular amongst the crowd. Their eponymous debut album was recorded in their own Duke Street Studios and sees the band exploring the same territory as The Coral and The La's - full of those creamy harmonies and knowing guitar riffs - but with a beady eye firmly on the here and now.
