Vanity Case records present the second 12” of the “Alien” series by Psychic TV/PTV 3. Two epic tracks on one amazingly blue vinyl, which are huge psychedelic songs that have undulating structures, evocative lyrics and pummeling instrumentation that are by all accounts quite powerful works. The A side “Mother Sky” is a warning to the world, a clarion call to those who continue to fuck up this strange but beautiful planet that we call...eerrmm Earth. It sounds pretty fucking good. The B side is “Alien Sky”, which has a Doors type feel structure wise, but without a leather-trousered alchoholic fat man belching all over it. “Alien Sky” is a prophetic, apocalyptic track that is quite terrifying yet resoundingly beautiful; a track that reminds you of the full horror of the shadow that we have all grown up under. A really awesome two tracker, featuring some of the best work that Psychic TV have done. Get your shekels out and purchase this for god's sake...

The records both contain studio recordings of powerful cover versions of big psychedelic songs, with re-written, personalised lyrics, supported by an original, invocational piece, all around a quarter of an hour long.Here we have “Mother Sky” sending out a warning to all who will listen, to not fuck with the beautiful balance of the earth. With the warning unheeded, then comes “Alien Sky”, a prophetic ,apocalyptic track,both beautiful and terrifying, reminding us of the full horror of the dark shadow we have ALL grown up under… “it’s already happened, you’re far too late…”
Genesis Breyer P-Orridge herself says of these 2010/11 recordings, “.For my SELF these songs that are resulting are my favourite tracks we have ever recorded in ANY band in any era.” We at Vanity Case Records concur; Psychic TV are flying right now.
