Radiohead are a band you either love or hate. I guess you could call me the office fan though really nothing they've done has really grabbed me as much as Kid A and especially Amnesiac. Shifting on a few years and a coupla albums they've decided to work with some of most cutting edge electronic producers of the times and over the last few months they've released 7 x remix 12” which have all pretty much sold out now. All of these have been compiled onto a 2CD set now for your delectation. Now if you're sensible you probably won't have spent 50 odd quid on 7 x 12” record and you'll have waited for this considerably cheaper CD featuring the likes on Caribou, Shed, Four Tet, Pearson Sound, Lone, Nathan Fake, Jacques Greene, Harmonic 313, Blawan, Jamie XX, Modeselektor and even more. For those into the newer drubbings of bass music then you'll probably really enjoy this unless you have a problem with Thom Yorke's voice (I know a few folks who do) in which case you should probably well avoid. Notable highlights for me are the Caribou, Four Tet, Lone & Shed mixes which are all terribly nice Jack.
• Throughout the Summer of 2011, Radiohead released a series of seven 12”s featuring remixes of tracks from the ‘King Of Limbs’ album by handpicked electronic producers / artists currently exciting and inspiring them.
• One new 12” hit the specialist shops every two weeks. At the end of this series a double CD album compiling all 19 remixes in chronological order is released on XL Recordings.
