DZ Deathrays - Gebbie St

•    DZ Deathrays are Shane Parsons (guitar / vocals) and Simon Ridley (drums). The band came together in Brisbane, Australia and started out by playing house parties under the moniker DZ. Since these early shows the band have taken their frenetic live show and penchant for Jagermeister across the globe, touring not only their native homeland but also hitting the UK, Europe and the United States, including appearances at SXSW, CMJ, Great Escape, Big Day Out and headlining their own tours.

•    Combining elements of garage rock, punk, metal and a healthy dose of unpredictability, DZ Deathrays produce the sort of noise you’d expect from a much bigger compliment than just two people. Heavy drums and thick, fuzzed out guitar blend with Parsons’ vocals, that switch from laconic and cool to urgent and insistent. This heady mix drives the songs deep into your psyche, and produces some of the most exciting and engaging live scenes and sounds one could hope to experience in a venue.
