*A new excursion into melancholy, remembering carefree youth years silently going by, another exercise to translate music influences thru’ cheap and simple equipment into an own personal language, a window to today’s present thru’ reshaping years of electro, ambient, lo-fi and post whatever one grew up with.
“I work in periods, I come up with a title and a global feeling the record should have and take a start from there on, once I feel the record is done the whole process stops and no music will be made until the record is out and a new title comes around to work with, it could easily take months before I start recording again. With “hits of sunshine” I wanted to make a sunny record during dark winter evenings with a more beat orientated direction… and as usual, as with all past releases, I totally failed…  which is a process I always secretly hope on, drifting into something opposite to where I originally wanted to end up, it’s like covering a song and ending up with something else you can call your own.”
