Henryspenncer - To the timeless valley

It took me bloody ages to find this on the site until I noticed the extra 'n' in spenncer. No need, I'm far too stupid and unobservant to deal with people throwing extra letters wantonly into words.  This is another of those records (or CD's...) that transports you to imaginary deserts full of blistering heat, a few dying cacti and cack all else.  Does that sound like a fun place to be? Here you get a bunch of fuzzy psychedelic rock tunes which have that desolate feel which is required to get the imaginary desert status. There's also some super swirly proggy keyboards which I guess is what you'd be hearing after you'd eaten the peyote in the cacti as there's nothing else to eat. So that works too. It's got that whole epic feel to it and the guitars sound dirty like they're trying to have sex with you. It's got its moments and I guess fans of that Barn Owl sound will like bits of this but this is more psychedelic and a bit cheesy at times. Fun though!!

Henryspenncer's music is marked by the confrontation of psychedelic guitars and industrial percussions, folk sounds and drone atmospheres, coexisting in long progressive compositions. "To The Timeless Valley", Henryspenncer's second album, invites you to get lost in an unseen musical world evocative of large imaginary deserts, beyond time and the world.
