Elephant 12 “Elephant 12 EP” out 19th September 2011 (Feat. Lord Kimo from
Asian Dub Foundation).
Elephant 12's music is unapologetic rock laced with a magnetic electro bass-line. Not
only is this group super confident on stage, they are also well renowned for sing along
anthems such as 'Diet Coke' (check their Youtube video) or the pounding 'Money
Talks' feat Lord Kimo from Asian Dub Foundation. Having recently celebrated a second
anniversary, their long awaited debut EP is out on I Blame the Parents, topping many
months of building their live show.
Canadian Jerome Cooke owns the room with his charm and rhymes while the explosive
guitar of Robbie Pinna (reminiscent at times of RATM’s Tom Morello) rips through the walls
and the foundations are given a very hard time by Manlio Porcheddu’s electro bass beats.
It’s certainly ROCK but ROCK that has necked some pills and wants dance NOW!
I Blame The Parents Records continue their busy year with 4 track banger that requests –
none to quietly – the pleasure of your company this bleedin’ minute. We’ve seen them live
a lot and the stage may start with 3 people on it but it’s never ended up less than packed,
they’re as inclusive of their audience as you can get. Radio (i.e. less sweary) versions of
Money Talks and Diet Coke are available to embed, give us a yell.
