Ramirez - A.M.Y.

A.M.Y. by Ramirez

3...according to our on Fri 11 Nov, 2011.

I'm not sure who Ramirez is so the main point of interest in this here 12”, for me at least, is the fact that it was produced by Dean Blunt of Hype Williams infamy, a man who walked offstage the one time I've seen them, pointing his finger at the soundman before declaring that he was going for a spliff and he didn't give a fuck because he was “still getting paid”. I do like their records and everyone else says I just caught them on a bad night and he's actually a top lad, but that's a true story. Anyway, here's a one-sided 12” of pumping Italo beats with liquidy squelches and some American guy mostly talking and occasionally singing over the top. On the other side there's nothing at all. Not really my bag of yams if I'm honest, but it's certainly very modern-sounding and dancefloor friendly stuff.

A one-sided mutant Balearic disco freak out from Ramirez, recounting a fateful episode with "a bitch he used to see" over some mad out phaser action and cosmic electronics, . Super limited, super heated.
