Written, recorded and produced at Roadmap Studios, Cambridge, this can only be another alias of Tim Martin, probably best known for his creations as Maps and Diagrams. I'm enjoying the submerged sound on this C33, complemented by the sonic characteristics inherent in the cassette format. There are ten short but sweet tracks of slowly decaying futuristic synth bliss outs. The visual that I get is one of a vast metropolis like in a science fiction movie scene and then nature slowly claiming back the land as buildings slowly crumble and weeds and shoots emerge through the polished metal surfaces. I'm sure you can attach your own spaced out fantasy. There are also some more melodic almost song based moments but I can't point out the title as I've lost where I am on the tape, always the danger when zoning out to these cosmic electronic explorations. Lovely stuff throughout and limited to 75 copies.

This new guise from maps & diagrams takes an unexpected aquatic turn with a half-hour set of short & sweet synthesizer compositions. it's not all float-y and dream-y, though - the opener sounds like an outtake from bladerunner and at various other points i feel like i'm listening to a lost soundtrack for some weirdo spy movie. it all stays together, though, and even hints at a pop song or two. get your rockets on, shoot for the stars and ultimately get drowned. edition of 75. chrome.
