Let's forget about LA for now, Flylo and his his cronies have been given 'nuff credit in the media but respect is due to the true global underground of future hip-hop beat makers and re-assemblers, showcased right here on this wicked tape from Icasea. This is a remix album of Fitz's debut for the label. This tape and MP3 download bundle has fifteen reworks from the cream of electronic beat-smiths: RLP, Sir Froderick, Ultragamma, Ichiro, 5K3K51, Feldermelder, Called Understandable Souls, Cygnus, Elan, Budamunk, Mndsgn, Dibiase, Zero Charisma, and Sauce 81. Expect some forward thinking beats and neon synths all glitched up with itchy and tricky rhythms. In many ways a lot of the re-interpretations update the blueprints laid down by the likes of Gescom, Push Button Objects, etc. and reveal new and exciting paths for electronic instrumental hip-hop. This label is totally on it right now so grab one while you can as there are only 50 copies of this tape. Also do check the labels website out as they have a super awesome 70 track download available with funds going to help out things over in the earthquake zones in Japan.
