Milieu - Euflorian Additions

Euflorian Additions by Milieu

Phil is hurriedly trying to fill me in on the details of this CD. Turns out Milieu has been busy soundtracking a new 'ambient' video game for PlayStation Network entitled 'Euflorian'. The main soundtrack has previously been available as a double CD and you may have seen it on the site before (I think he's on to a second ltd press now) so you probably know all about it. 'Euflorian Additions' is a companion piece to the aforementioned OST featuring five new pieces of music packaged in a high-gloss printed mini-LP jacket with artwork from the game. It's an incredibly peaceful affair that brings to mind the first time I had a go on those Brain Eno apps for Ipad. Tonally 'Euflorian Additions' is incredibly light with milieu mainly manipulating percussive instruments such as chimes and vibraphones well as the usual synths and drones. If you've ever played Bit-Trip or Runner by Gaijin games then you'll be familiar with the idea of music driven video games so imagine that but on a New Age tip. It's like the soundtrack to a Bonsai tree trimming video game (Miyagi's Ambient Bonsai Challenge?) or that Heroin Hero thing that Stan Marsh got obsessed with after getting stressed out with the trappings of Guitar Hero.

An additional hour of new pieces was composed for the aforementioned Playstation Network version of Eufloria. Those five pieces have been gracefully assembled and presented here as a companion release to the 2-disc OST. Limited edition of 171 copies in high-gloss printed mini-LP jackets with artwork from the game.

2. Airjet Blue (9:57)
3. Eufloric Dub (15:47)
