The blowback driving force behind the Scandinavian noise scene is
at times disorienting, but one always knows that this shockwave effect
can consistently be found in the works of artist Lasse Marhaug. Since
1996, Marhaug has evolved and transformed the dynamics involving noise
through performing in his mainstay Jazzkammer, pushing the limits of
discomfort in Testicle Hazard or collective flirtation in The Origami
Replika, he has swung on all ropes of extreme music and polishes his
visual aesthetics with a stride unseen. Hundreds of music releases
has his signature distorted view on experimental music and his own
PicaDisk label has helped collect his tastes and interests to be
broadcast to a larger audience. This solo recording by Marhaug is a
document of a live performance at the Angelica Festival in Bologna,
Italy during the spring of 2011. Booming electronics that clang around
the open air constantly tripping over itself making it one of the best
live recordings to surface in recent years.
