Way to go with the easy-to-remember band names guys. DW/LSS is members of Disappears and former professional milky bar kid lookalike Steve Shelley (of the Sonic Youth). They do a really nice droney piece that recalls Velvet Underground with its barked vocals and long stretched out e-bowed guitar solo. It also has the feel of some of those eerie early Fall...um...ballads, full of atmosphere and wracked paranoia. The B side by JBE is a lovely early Iron and Wine style acoustic lament with a countrified twang and some nice brushed drums. Reminds me of the bands Burd Early and Court and Spark whom I used to be into many moons ago. I'm liking the trumpets and strings. Lovely.
D-W/L-SS (members of Chicago's Disappears & White Light, Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth). Austin group JBe on the flip side with tracks "Weight" and "Glass Doors". Limited edition press, 600 copies, white vinyl
