Wrecks by Denied By Character

This is a brand new project featuring James Brewster (Mole Harness, Make Mine Music, etc) and Andreas Beraha. On the CD (limited to 50) is one long epic 25 minute drone track which is incredibly dense. It was mostly recorded live using guitars, pedals, laptop and metal objects. I'm five minutes in now and it's gone all celestial on my ass. It's huge... I'm listening on headphones and my head feels like my brain has been replaced by this rich dense textured wall of fuzzy sound. Some of it sounds a bit church organy and I'm reminded a little of the Spire project that came out on Touch a while back. It just builds and builds into one of the most intense pieces of music I've heard in a while. It's essentially melodic noise music more than drone but I'd recommend anyone with a hearty interest in all things experimental to check this out.

Denied By Character are a superb duo comprising Andreas Beraha from the USA and James Brewster who is originally from Bristol,UK.This is a new project and "Wrecks" is their debut release. At the time of recording this album they were residing in Malmo, Sweden.James has recently had a excellent solo album on Make Mine Music called "As A Hovering Insect Mass Breaks Your Fall"."Wrecks" is made up of one huge expansive drone track which was mostly recorded live using guitars, pedals, laptop and metal objects producing a rich, dense wall of warm distorted tones and digitally fragmented high frequencies. The covers are stencil sprayed in silver onto 200gsm white card and come with matching cd labels and insert. This cd is available now in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.
